In 1976 the International Cake Exploration Societe was founded in Monroe, Michigan at the National EXPLO Cake Show sponsored by Betty Jo Steinman.
The board of Directors and Executive Officers are elected by the memebership at the annual ICES Cake Show and Convention, Local reporesentatives are elected or appointed each year to help spread the sharing and caring of cake decorating around the world.
Meetings, get togethers and Days of Sharing are held throughout the year wherever members reside
